Your honey – straight from the beekeeper

Beehives among flowering goldenrod

Lovely to have you here!

Your honey comes straight from the beekeeper in Poland – natural and not heated. Here you will find everything worth knowing about your jar.

Has your honey set? That's a good sign.

Every natural honey crystallises sooner or later – it is a natural process, not a quality defect. How quickly it happens depends on the variety.

How to make it runny again: Place the open jar in a warm water bath (no hotter than 40 °C) and stir now and then. Please do not use the microwave or the hob.

Keeping your honey at its best

Store it tightly closed, dry and away from light – somewhere cool, but not in the fridge, where honey crystallises faster. Always use a clean, dry spoon: honey easily absorbs moisture and smells.

Three simple ideas

Yoghurt with walnuts and honey

Spoon natural yoghurt into a bowl, scatter a handful of roughly chopped walnut kernels over it and drizzle with 1–2 teaspoons of honey. A quick breakfast or dessert.

Honey mustard dressing

Whisk 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of mustard, 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice, then season with salt and pepper. Goes well with green salad and raw vegetables.

Baked goat's cheese with honey and thyme

Place goat's cheese rounds on a baking tray, drizzle with a little honey and sprinkle with fresh thyme. Bake at 200 °C for about 8–10 minutes until the cheese is soft. Serve with baguette or salad.

Please note

Honey is not suitable for babies under 12 months.
